Pop the Price Privacy Policy

Pop the Price is designed as a lightweight shopping-trivia game. We collect only the data needed to operate gameplay, remember local progress, improve reliability, and record legitimate user-initiated actions.

Information We Process

The browser stores local game progress such as score, streak, coins, answered rounds, and favorites state. The backend may receive gameplay analytics events such as round started, answer selected, product revealed, favorite saved, and View Product actions.

Information We Do Not Store In The Web App

The web app does not store Etsy API secrets, Amazon credentials, affiliate IDs, OAuth access tokens, refresh tokens, seller passwords, checkout information, or payment data.

Etsy Data

Etsy data is not enabled in this public prototype. If Etsy access is approved, Price Pop will request the minimum data needed to show eligible public listing content in the game. Scoped member access will use OAuth 2.0 Authorization Code with PKCE and secure server-side token handling.

Affiliate And Retailer Actions

Shopping is optional. Price Pop does not automatically open retailer links. A View Product event is recorded only after a real user tap on an eligible button.
